Cozumel is considered by many, the finest dive destination in the Western Hemisphere and second in the world. Water temperatures range from summer highs in the low 80's to winter highs in the low 70's (F). Dive House is located on the property of Fiesta Americana Cozumel Dive Resort and is considered one of the best dive operators on the island. Popular sites for diving include Paraiso Reef, Chankanaab Caves and Reef, Colombia Reef, San Francisco Reef, Santa Rosa Wall and Palancar Reef (the second longest reef in the world). Like everyone along the Gulf Coast, the CVB is monitoring the clean-up of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and relying on official updates from the Unified Command response team and local emergency management officials for information. We will continue to post confirmed updates on this page as they become available.

The entire Texas coastline is still completely clear, and the oil spill is actually not expected to effect ANY part of Texas. The currents and weather patterns are moving everything to the east, away from Texas.

South Padre is located at the southern most tip of the Gulf Coast and to date NO "TARBALLS" OF ANY KIND have been located on Texas shores.

The Gulf of Mexico is teeming with life so come see what you have been missing. Diving in the Gulf of Mexico is some of the best in the USA.

The Texas Clipper is a multilevel dive, meaning experienced, open-water certified divers can explore the A deck and the Promenade at 62 to 80 feet. Penetration divers, experienced with overhead environments, can tackle interior spaces to depths from 70 feet to over 110 feet. Meanwhile, because much of the wreck is more than 60 feet above the bottom it may be explored by entry level divers.

The Texas Clipper can be compared to a large museum, requiring scuba divers to make several trips to fully appreciate it because of the size. The ship is so large you can dive a hundred times and still not see everything.
