Open Water

Learn to dive with our Open Water course. This beginning certification introduces you to underwater exploration. Our modular teaching system includes your manual, study guide, and dive log. With our home study approach, you'll be able to minimize your time in the classroom and get in the water sooner. We introduce you to scuba skills in the comfort of our pool sessions. You complete your certification with open water checkout dives and will be able to complete the following skills when you are finished with this course:

• Move in the water with ease
• Breathe normally underwater
• Achieve neutral buoyancy
• Learn to enter and exit the water with ease
• Clear your mask and keep water out

What this course includes

Course fees cover the cost of your SSI student kit (SSI open water dive manual, study guide, DVD rental, and dive log). Rental gear provided includes: tanks, buoyancy compensator (BCD), regulator, dive computer, gauges, and weights. When you have completed training, you will receive your SSI open water certification card.

What you need to purchase

In addition to course fees, you'll need to purchase your mask, fins, snorkel, and booties. These are personally fitted for your comfort at our shop. Open water park fees are also not included.

Class schedule

Friday night, 7 - 10 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday, 2 - 6 p.m.
